With the mass amount of benefits that come along with this organizations mission and program, it is interesting to know that we do not have one. Flipping with pride // The Lady Hawks gymnasts took the honor of District Champions this past week against Rockwall and several other schools. Several members of the team placed in multiple categories from all over the state. “It was such a great feeling to win districts. My vault score even contributed towards the team score! It was a meet where we pushed ourselves and it showed, and that made winning that much sweeter, said Kate Seifer, sophomore.

They’ll be there for you // Showing off the members of the Best Buddies program, Ms. Erwin smiles proudly. This years Buddy program had an over all impact as she says goodbye to the seniors. “Im so proud of them when they leave and I hope they will be forever different. I feel a great sense of pride in them, especially for their future later on when they have kids they wont feel separated either. I feel more privileged to have had the chance to give them these opportunities to be successful in their futures more than anything,” said Ms. Erwin.

Friends and family combined // Everyone that knows and loves Rodrigo made it happen to be on that bus with him, and Rodrigo loved all of it. I loved seeing fellow Hawks come together and put a smile on his face, which we certainly did. He never let us forget that it was his bus!! said Miranda.

Whats in the pantry // Caroline Bloom, Head Cheerleader of the JV team, creates the Hawks Care, a discreet and easy to access program dedicated to provide food to students who cannot afford it. I think going through the process of creating the vision and getting Heath Cares off the gourd showed me that I really can make a difference, said Caroline.
