Black History Month is a celebration for the achievements throughout history of African Americans. Since 1915, the story of Black History Month has started and has continued since.

In honor of black history month, an oscar nominated movie called Green Book is very popular. It is a drama, directed by Peter Farrelly, who also directed “Dumb and Dumber”.

Green book is a movie about Tony Lipp, a bouncer from the Bronx, hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley, a black pianist, travelling from Manhattan to the Deep South while embarking on a concert tour, They have to rely on “The Green Book” to guide them through safe places for African Americans. Encountered with racism and adventurous danger, the two learn to set aside differences and embark a wonderful journey together.

“Green Book is a funny movie with a lot of good lines and a good underline story that I highly recommend,” stated Mr. Rinker

Green Book has a 80% Rotten Tomato score, and has won ten awards.

“The movie does a great job expressing the harsh reality of racism at the time without being too preachy, along with lots of funny moments in the movie too,” said Coach Okafor.

Green Book is based upon a true story that allows people to see how life was back then.
