This museum, The African American Museum located at Fair Park in Dallas, is the only one in the southwestern part of the U.S. dedicated to the preservation and showcase of African American historical materials including folk art and other visual art forms, said The Beat, out of DFW.

Although this wasn’t the ideal proposal he had in mind, Mr. Okafor couldn’t wait any longer to pop the question. “My original plan was to propose at the high school, but we got a call that day saying they were having a little league game, so we couldn’t. At the last minute, I decided to go to the movies to see ‘The Edge of Seventeen’, and that‘s when I proposed,” said Mr. Okafor.
